storm Thunderstorm Reports 9th May 2008

With cape values increasing, high temperatures, humidity and a convergence zone across the UK today please add your Thunderstorm Reports here. The stage looks set for some interesting weather today particularly for the central part of the UK.

Many Thanks

Re: Thunderstorm Reports 9th May 2008

Still seems to be flashing around....seems still to be a little to the South from us....No thunder at all and no rain...No wind to speak of either.

Re: Thunderstorm Reports 9th May 2008

Been out to the local patch for the past 3 hours and been treated to some spectacular 'summer lightning' displays.

The lightning was too far away to be effective on camera so i recorded around 50 mins of it on the cam corder. Ill try and get it edited a bit for the best bits as i seen my own shadow off some of the flashes!

I can still see distant lightning even now. Mainly to the west but some to the south.
