| Storm Forecast Issued: Sun 04 May 2008 at 22:56 Valid: 05 May 2008 at 00:00:00 - 06 May 2008 at 00:00:00 Regions Affected Wales, Northwest England, parts of the West Midlands Synopsis A cold front, situated across the Midlands, Central Southern England and Northeast England at the start of this period, is expected to move very slowly eastwards for the remainder of the night. It is likely to weaken as it does so, producing drizzly rain in places. By dawn it is expected to not have moved a great deal east before it starts advancing west again, very slowly. Therefore parts of the Midlands, Central Southern England, and later in the day Southwest England, will see a few isolated showers from this front at first, but with warm air advecting from the south and temperatures rising steadily, the showers are likely to turn heavier in places with thunder and lightning possible by the end of the afternoon. Some small hail is also possible, although a tornado threat remains low. The heaviest of the showers are likely to be across the West Midlands, Wales & Southwest England during the evening, very slowly pushing westwards and dying out as the evening goes on, with the last of the showers clearing western Wales just after the end of this period. All times are GMT+1 You can view this forecast here You can now add our widget to your website, available here!
