Quick look now! It's amazing

look at this Met Office rainfall radar picture for 9pm Saturday August 16th 2008 and see how the rain is concentrated on the land and not over the Bristol channel.
I live very close to the sharp bend on the River Severn and quite often see storms pass either side of me, but this rainfall radar pic really shows what i mean.

Anyone got ideas on this?

LOL brett.
I am sure no technical reason, i have lived here all my life and seen it time and time again - not on the rainfall radar picture, but in real life just standing in my garden looking at the clouds passing either side of me.
If i had a quid for every time i have heard a rumble of thunder or 2 in a storm passing up the River Severn in my life i would be a millionaire! LOL
