| Re: what the ......?? I think a gustnado is short-lived circulation of air that develops on a severe thunderstorm gust front, only lasts a very short time. A little more info here: Gustnado - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

| Re: what the ......?? See thats what happens when you visit other places ![]() Tivvy Meso - a local "totally made up by a weather nut in tiverton" term Here is his blurb... "A newly discovered small scale meteorological phenomena appears to play an important part in the development of convection within the area of Mid Devon in relatively light wind situations. Called the Tivvy Meso - based on the fact that its around the area of Tiverton - this fairly rare phenomena appears to be the catalyst for slow moving heavy showers, thunderstorms, even funnel clouds and weak tornadoes."

| Re: what the ......?? ahh well one has to visit "other places " occasionally - thanks for the griff guys - so a "tivvy meso " - is not a real meteorological term then ?? - so if we got one in Plymouth we could call it a "plymwheelybinwizzer" - or a tamarswirlyvortex " hummmmm - confusing this weather jargon ![]()
