High winds damage trees and roof

High winds swept though a village in Derbyshire causing damage to several homes and uprooting trees.
Eyewitnesses said part of a factory roof was blown off into nearby Breaston Park, which then had to be closed.
Breaston Parish Council's parks committee chairman Alan Beadling said several people reported broken windows.
"One lady said it blew some garden furniture through the bedroom window - and two cars had windscreens damaged by flying debris," he said.
Breaston resident George Mounsey said: "The rain was coming down but it was going in circles instead of coming straight down." The wind also brought down trees on the M1 northbound at junction 24 in Derbyshire. The Met Office said it had unconfirmed reports of tornados across England.
