| The couple were walking along the pier at Mullion Cove when a wave washed them into the sea in gale force winds. Coastguards were contacted shortly after 1700 GMT on Sunday and an RNLI lifeboat and Royal Navy rescue helicopter were dispatched. | Re: Two die as bad weather hits Cornwall We now live in a world which gets risk assessed and managed by someone else. It's always someone else's responsibility to make sure we are safe. Maybe these tragic circumstances could have been avoided if people treated extreme weather conditions with the respect they deserve. Two very sad incidents.
