Not as much cloud cover today and consequently much hotter, currently 29.4 c. No breeze and air pressure remaining constant at 1025mb.

I couldn't see one but I didn't know if anyone could start the discussion.

Anyway, here it started overcast, cleared up before midday but has now clouded over again. There are some dodgy looking clouds to the NW and there have been lot of distant rumbles of thunder, so I assume there are some storms over there. I can't quite work out which way the weather is moving, so I don't know if they are coming this way. Having said that, it's just started to rain and there was just a much louder peal of thunder, so it looks like I am in for a storm. Before the rain, it felt very muggy, with the temperature of 25c but it seems to be falling now. Humidity was up at 90% at 08:00 but is now hovering at 70%.

Re: General Weather Discussion July 2009

Storms seem to have moved off to SW, for now!

A total of 9.3mm of rain in the last hour, although in reality the last half hour or so. outside temp. has fallen to 19.7c and humidity is back up to 87%.

I don't quite understand why the weather seems to be moving SW when according to the pressure chart it should be moving N.

Weather moving northwards here? More storms moving in from the SW could possibly give that impression, otherwise I'm confused.

I got the impression that the weather was moving from the N but I must be wrong. Maybe the heat is getting to me!
