Believe temps may have peaked on this heatwave; steady rain now and at last seems cooler.

Yearly highs were reached here with a highest minimum of 17.0C at 2346 hrs last night, and a highest temp of 32.2C at 1719 hrs on the 1st.

Re: General Weather Discussion July 2009

Pretty sharp little shower about 10 minutes ago, and the wind is starting to get up a bit.
Very refreshing! 22.6C

Re: General Weather Discussion July 2009

Well, well, well we didn't have a single drop of rain from the front that passed over us during the early hours of this morning or the brief storms that developed just south of here yesterday evening.

A cloudy start, this broke up late morning and sunshine has increased as the afternoon has gone on.
Quite breezy so makes a nice change, but still rather warm with 25c recorded a while ago. And we had a minimum of 18.6c at 4am this morning - far too uncomfortable to sleep in.
Looking forward to a decent night's sleep tonight in the lower temperature and humidity

Re: General Weather Discussion July 2009

Towards mid-late afternoon the clouds have cleared and the sun has arrived. This has brought the temperature up nicely to 23.6 c at present. Breeze has changed round from the east and now favours a westerly direction in general

Re: General Weather Discussion July 2009

Very warm in the sun today. Heavy rain shower earlier this morning. Looks set to be 'Average' for the next week. So a mif of sunshine and showers and feeling pleasant to warm.
