There ya go!! Not sure about the southeast though, as most thundery stuff will be limited to E Anglia by dawn, heading off into the North Sea

Oh again we missed out here in Buckinghamshire, I think mother nature put her protective shield over us again lol.

I think i need to move the county a little lol, we always seem to get action to the East and West of us

The pictures of the lightning over Kent on the 6th August are amazing, wow

I was so jealous hearing that my parents had a great storm earlier in Lincolnshire, we had nothing in Chesterfield, but I'm encouraged to hear that there's a good chance of storms in the first half of next week!

Re: Thunderstorm Discussion 2nd - 9th Aug 2008

Mainly dynamic rainfall tomorrow, meaning non-thundery, though some intense downpours likely as the cold front moves through. This means a period of light, patchy and drizzly rain for most as the warm front works east during the day, then some heavy and locally torrential rain working eastwards during the afternoon, clearing N Ireland by evening but reaching the southeast later in the evening.

The cold front exits the southeast, but the wrap-around works back into N & W Scotland and N Ireland on Sunday and here conditions are possible for thundery showers. Non severe type though, just the usual 'blustery showers' type of day.Drier and brighter, but breezy and gusty elsewhere.

Thats your lot for the weekend, have a good one and get those cameras charging in this 'quieter' spell!

Edit: next week doesn't look like a "thundery breakdown" as such, it won't be hot and humid but with LOW pressure close by we could see widespread blustery and thundery showers on Tues & Weds, worth keeping an eye on
