storm Thunderstorm discussion 10th May 2008

Discuss the potential for Today's Thunderstorms here.

Here, Near Stourbridge we still need a Thunderstorm to clear our muggy air here as it still feels heavy unlike some other areas which probably feel fresher. Some places suggest its the North's turn today but charts showing very high cape for the Midlands especially this evening so some action may kick off down here too though i think the North may see something too.

I think its my turn for a storm now eh?

keeping my fingers crossed for you - and my toes for one down here in Plymouth ( in fact a few over Devon would not go amiss ) - it was to say the least jolly frustrating ( polite version ) watching the action yesterday

ah well we also serve - those who sit and watch

Brett .

( new sub group being formed - FSC (UK) - frustrated storm chasers (UK ) - you can only join if you habitually miss all the action - )

ENORMOUS CLOUD JUST BUILT UP ABOUT 30 MINS AGO OVER NORTH-LONDON! It was amazing. No storm though. Just ominous black cloud.

Re: Thunderstorm discussion 10th May 2008

That black cloud is still hovering overhead. It doesn't seem to be moving.

Re: Thunderstorm discussion 10th May 2008

Well looking on the meteo site there a few boiling up in the Midlands, 2 around Manchester area and one around the Birmingham area (or slightly west of). It has definately cooled here in Warwick and the clouds are bubbling up, i reckon its gonna be a good one today guys and girls ;-)))))

Re: Thunderstorm discussion 10th May 2008

Same situation here, engulfed now by a developing (non active) storm cloud.
