Forecast Map Forecast Sunday 20th January 2008

UK Weather Forecast for Sunday 20th January 2008
Map as of 13:00

!!!WARNINGS: Further risk of FLOODING in Central, Southern & Northern Areas. Risk of LOCALISED FLOODING anywhere with prolonged rain.

Green Area: Another very wet day for many areas today making the current flooding situation across Central, Southern and Northern areas the possibility of more widespread flooding then what there already is. During the day a fairly stationary front will sit around Northern England with rain moving West to East but not moving much North or South. The rain shouldnt be too heavy but in places may stay around for quite a while just building on the rain totals already collected this month. Do watch out for flooding if out and about and CONTACT Environment Agency - Current flood warnings in force IF CONCERENED ABOUT THE FLOODING. The rain should clear Ireland and Northern Ireland later with a chance of some Bright or Sunny spells though its likely to stay cloudy for most. Winds will be Light to Brisk from the West or South West. Max temps 15c (59f).

Light Blue Area: Here will have a mostly dry day with a risk of some light spells of rain or showers. In places there may be some Bright or Sunny spells. If Bright or Sunny spells stay around for long enough temperatures may reach the low 60's Faranheit in the South East! Winds will be Light to Brisk from the North West, West or South West. Max temps 15c (59f) possibly 16c (61f) in the South East.

Hotspot of the day: London. 15c (59f). 16c (61f) possible.
Coldspot of the day: Braemar. 3c (37f).

Tomorrow in a Nutshell!

London: Mostly dry. 15c (59f). Possibly 16c (61f) in any brighter spells.
