Weather News: Cooler, risk of Thundery rain in Central and Southern Areas. Still warm in the Sunshine.

Thursday 15th May 2008:
NEW:
England & Wales: After a long spell of alot of warmth, its is about to be washed away in front of our eyes though temperatures should keep remaining above 60f except in Southern Areas tomorrow where above 15c may be a bit of a struggle though in the Midlands it should stay in the 60's farenheit. Though it shouldnt be too long before the Warm and Hot weather makes a comeback! Anyway, tomorrow will be mixed. For the North Midlands, North Wales and Northwards it should be a fine day for most of the time with sunny intervals except low cloud nagging the North Sea coasts once again making it feel cool. For the rest of the Midlands, Wales and Central Southern England, Rain will affect many and in quite a few places this could be heavy and even thundery though this is uncertain at this stage though ive out the Thunder icon for the Midlands and Wales just incase. During the main part of the day the rain shouldnt get much further or not past about Stafford though may move past their a bit into the evening. Some quite high rainfall totals are possible and some flooding is possible. A Level 3 watch from me may be issued later on though this will be considered. Winds will be moderate from the North East. Max temps 18c (64f) most likely in the Midlands.

Scotland & Ireland (Inc N Ireland): For Ireland and Northern Ireland it should be a great day with Sunny spells with perhaps just some cloud affecting the coast and the very isolated risk of a shower. Alot of Scotland will be quite cloudy especially towards the East but the West of Scotland should have some Sunny intervals though it wont be as warm as recently. There is a risk of a shower later too but this is Isolated. Winds will be Light with variable directions across Scotland and Ireland. Max temp 18c (64f) in Ireland.

NEW:Weather Risks:
Thunderstorms: 35%
Temperature above 25c: 0% in Central and Southern England
Temperature above 30c: 0%

Re: Thursday 15th May 2008

This post doesnt warrant a new thread but this is some exciting information commencing from September!

Soon i will be going away for the rest of the month so while i remember i'll do this now despite being very early!

Last year i did the 'UK White Christmas' Forecast from the Middle of September right upto the 24th December which proved unbelieveably popular and ended up in top results in Google under 'UK White Christmas Forecast'.

As im off in Spain from the 16th August right to the end of the month im saying this now while i remember!

Im very pleased to announce that commencing from the 14th September the UK's favourite White Christmas forecast will return! Lol.

As what happened last year the forecasts wont be so detailed to start but will always gradually get more detailed.

Forecast Updates:

Between the 14th September to the End of October the forecast will be updated every Sunday.

Between the start of November to around the End of November there will be updates every 4 or 5 days or whenever there is a significant change.

Between the Start of December to about the 20th December there will be updates every 3-5 days or whenver there is a significant change.

On the 21st, 22nd and the 23rd of December there will be an update every day.

The final forecast will be on Christmas Eve (24th December) and there will be a detailed forecast for every part of the country! These are Scotland, Northern Ireland, Ireland, North East England, North West England, East Anglia, Wales, Central England and Southern England (Inc SE & SW England).

But i very much welcome others to take part in this too!

If you would like to see last years popular forecasts have a browse through this part of the Forum 'UK Forecast Maps' and look for thread: 'UK White Christmas Forecast'. It should be around page 3 or 4.

Sorry for going on about this so early but soon ill be gone for the rest of august and will be busy for the start of September which is close to the start of the forecasts so while i remember about it ive told you the exciting news now!

I hope you look forward to the forecasts as i certainly very much enjoyed making them last year.

Thanks, SW.

I look forward to them again SW, they were a great read as a non-member at the time and they made me join the forum in the first place. Without them i probably wouldn't have found MWF
