Child benefit data and bank, address and National Insurance details for 25 million people has been lost after being sent out in the post by a Government department.

What the new reports are NOT saying is that possibly our signatures are included in that data. I have an Inland Revenue card so I can work on new build houses and that has a digital copy of my signature so who knows they may have lost our signatures too.... how handy when it comes to bank accounts !

Acutally the worst item of information in that lot is your National Insurance number - with that little beauty they can do anything. Including making false benefit and TAX claims that may not get detected for years to come - or even until you want to claim a pension.

Still, on the bright side, at least you can save the £20 you were going to spend on a grade 1 security cross sheader!
