Two routes closed off by flooding

Flooding and landslips have closed two roads in the Highlands. A small burn swollen by heavy rain and a landslip have shut the B852 road at Dores, Inverness-shire.
Northern Constabulary said stones, a tree and other debris had been washed on to the roadway, which also had about 30cm (1ft) of water.
Local diversions are also in place in Sutherland where the A897 is closed between Kinbrace and Melvich due to flooding.

Bad weather impacting on farmers
A prolonged spell of bad weather is affecting farming in the Highlands and North East.

Livestock and crops have been left vulnerable to illness and disease by heavy rain, which has hit both areas.
