Came across this, it was from yesterdays downpoar across the South West:

HUGE hailstones left a seaside town under a thick cover of ICE yesterday.
The freezing downpour came as the rest of Britain basked in unusually high temperatures of up to 66°F.
The half-hour storm brought Padstow in Cornwall to a standstill as people fled for shelter.
