Re: Easy Weather file format

I suspect that you both know significantly more than I do re the W-8681 however I too had residual rain that I could not get rid of on the PC. When all else failed I re-read the instructions in the manual, with the WS connected to the PC I followed Step 5 of the 'Rain' instructions. " Touch the rain section the fifth time to reset the rain fall value to 0, then touch for 3 secs ...... This does of course get rid of all the record but it did reset to 0. Closing EasyWeather and disconnecting, then opening EW and reconnecting resulted, after a couple of minutes, with 0 rain record on both the WS and the PC.

Hope this helps Noel

Re: Easy Weather file format

Thanks, that seems to have cleared it for me.

The Easyweather software is a bit flaky - worth what we paid for it, I suppose though.

I'm looking at developing an alternative to this, that directly reads from the device and stores the data in a proper database, from whence you can control what gets exported and when. Currently working my way through the intricaces of USB device interrogation...
