easy way of filing weather reports?

I hope this is the correct forum... does anyone know of an easy way to upload data from virtual weather station onto the weather report section of this forum. Or, do you have to type it into a new message every time....I'm sure there's a less labour intensive way than copying it down onto a bit of paper then typing it into a message for posting... Yours in anticipation.. !! JOCK

Re: easy way of filing weather reports?

well if your more of a tech person i wrote a linux command to fetch mine then used a php script to collect the data, but it all can depend on what weather station you have running.

Then i can simple copy the data over.

Re: easy way of filing weather reports?

If you run a WS-2300 weather station beteljuice has written a scraper file to pull the info from the currdat.lst file which comes with Heavy Weather software.

Re: easy way of filing weather reports?

Use the (templates folder) htx files that vws uses, with the database codes

Air Temp: <font color="#dc143">^vxv007^°C</font>

as listed in the scripts option I think, then upload the htx using vws upload file facility, but as an html. Hope that makes sense.

Wink Re: easy way of filing weather reports?

Ask LeeKay (birthday boy), the beteljuice did a VWS template for his reports, he can tell you how to implement it.

PS. - no need to upload to webspace or make html, can be output as a local (PC) .txt file which you then cut 'n paste into a post.
