Re: New EasyWeather software version

V5 is the most recent version of EW and they do seem to be taking more care with the version numbering now. Though they never seem to provide any clues as to what they have changed between the versions.

I have not noticed any massive rainfall appear in EW V4 and V5, but I have noticed one or two squiggles in the line of the rainfall graph - which usually indictates there has been mass false rainfall recorded. My assumption is that they (EW) are filtering the data in software and perhaps the filter might be taking some of the genuine rain out along with it, causing the discrepencies.

If you didn't already know, there is no need to delete the data in the unit - the oldest data is simply over written by newer data, once the memory is full.

Re: New EasyWeather software version

Hi Just bought a new WP1081 and see that it comes with easyweather V6.1. Do not know how it works as only had it up a few days and have not seen rain for weeks. Do not seem to have the vicious oscilations of the wind direction vane that some people have reported. Will let you know how it goes here in sunny Australia.
