Weather station offer at Lidl

Hello all
I just thought I would share this with everybody, it seems very reasonable to me.
Lidl are doing a weather station at the moment, for £14.99 it has a remote sensor with temp and humidity, a barometer with 12 hour history, radio controlled clock, moon phase, sunrise and sunset times.
I realise that generally you only get what you pay for as regards to quality etc, but at £14.99 it sure beats a wet finger in the air.

Hmm ....... The ad suggests only indoor humidity, this may be false economy !

Re: Weather station offer at Lidl

Sorry for the late reply, but I can confirm that the remote sensor does temp and humidity.

Re: Weather station offer at Lidl

It will be interesting to see how many new members we get with one. It has to be good if it sparks a weather interest in anyone and for £14.99 may well do that.

Re: Weather station offer at Lidl

Well I've had mine up and running for about 24 hours now, the setting up instructions are a bit sparse but I've got it figured out now.
The clock set its self up when it locked on to the time signal from anthorn, and was automatically set to BST, this took around 5 mins.
Setting the location and the barometer took some figuring out, and if anybody needs any help regarding this then please get in touch.
I noticed that when I first put the remote sensor outside, it took a while for the temperature to go from 20c to 11.5c about 10 mins, but I guess thats ok.
So far I am very pleased with mine, if anyone else buys one let me know how you get on, it could be interesting to compare notes.

You could be a pioneer here Bry. Take some pics and do an equipment review in our new section.
