November meteor showers

November is the time for the famous Leonids shower. They peak on the night of the 17th. However, the bright full moon could not come at a worse time for would-be meteor spotters.

Earlier in the month sees the Taurids (from Taurus, the Bull) which peaks on the 3rd with a maximum of 10 meteors per hour. The new Moon a day before means the sky is fine and dark - perfect for meteor watching.
