Re: Total Lunar Eclipse 21st Feb 2008

Last year I used my 200mm (300 effective due to digital crop) lens but for tonight I've borrowed a 300mm from a friend.. I just hope I get a chance to use it

I found the table at this link very useful for setting up my camera.

OK - watching the weather won't make it better - I'll wake up nearer 3am and see what it's like outside. Good luck to all that will try for a good picture of it!

Re: Total Lunar Eclipse 21st Feb 2008

Hi i got up at 3am last night and it was too cloudy. This morning the cloud has broken a bit too. Trust that to happen when we have had the best weather possible lately.

Re: Total Lunar Eclipse 21st Feb 2008

Unfortunately getting up and sitting in a field "just in case" wasn't worth it, just too much cloud cover even to see it glow through Oh well - next time..

Re: Total Lunar Eclipse 21st Feb 2008

Thanks all for your efforts, you gotta admit dispite the disappointment it was still pretty exciting to think there was a possibility of seeing something.

I've heard the next total lunar eclipse over Europe (amongst other places) is in 2010, is this correct?
