Yeah, but improvisations are good-as long as the glass is good enough not to distort the image-seems o.k. here though acted like a neutral density.

Typical just like Feb - 2 weeks of clear skies, and it decides to turn cloudy when the event arrives!
SW London.

I was lucky here.
It was sunny with some fairweather cloud until about three quarters of the way through the eclipse.
Then the cloudmass shown in the Dollsworth-Met Office photo moved across.

This pic was taken towards the end of the eclipse period, and shows that cloudmass.
