Weather or not we meet?

Just posing a question to all the folkies on the forum.
Dya think some kinda weather forum pub meet would be in order? Only from time to time and someone could suggest a decent pub somewhere central to enable people to meet up in person and share ales 'n' tales over a beautiful ale or what yer fancy?
Only a suggestion as i realsie there are many regulars based all over the place such as Scotland and overseas.

Re: Weather or not we meet?

IMHO it would just be not practical for person's in Scotland and the Scottish Islands to economically travel south to meet anyone.
As it wouldn't be practical for those down south to venture North either way some members would have to spend a fortune in travel with the possibility of over night accommodation also.
At least for me I'm on direct rail routes from Edinburgh and Glasgow to virtually anywhere in the country. Personally I would not travel much further than York.
There is a suggestion here for an Xmas gathering

Re: Weather or not we meet?

There is also another consequence of meeting.... those of us who live in our bunkers will be exposed and would not be able to do covert operations again particularly in Dudley rofl.

Re: Weather or not we meet?

I wouldn't mind meeting up but like you said it would have to be quite central to where everyone is and that could still mean quite far away for some people
