| Re: Thunderstorm nr Toulouse France Nicely presented LK. Interesting to see the horse shoe shape (in red) in the first picture demonstrated in the 2nd with the cloud formation. What is causing that effect in the clouds, something to do with the turbulence ? |

| Re: Thunderstorm nr Toulouse France Doc, I would say looking at how the storm(s) developed this was the start of the end. Most of the energy had been used up at this point (i.e. heat) Causing the storm cells to develop outwards from the central core. The horseshoe would likely be caused by the Sea, meteox can be a little offset at times but the other images show it was close to the sea at this point. Given this, the sea temperature being much cooler giving no convection made the horseshoe shape. |
