well the law of averages dictates they have to get it right eventually - any way - guess we will just have to watch and wait - mind you they should get it right for down here - seeing as their HQ is only 30 or so miles up the road - but may be i am asking like too much ??

but to be fair to the MO ( who do get a lot of stick ) - weather forecasting is a very inexact science - and as we know they may say rain for an area - and down the road a few miles - its dry ( or vice versa) - i must confess sometimes when i watch the weather forecasts on TV and they say "a nice day " - and i look out the window and its precipitating down ( cant use the other common colloquialism ) - i do mutter under my breath - but are we all not guilty of that occasionally ??

regards

brett

Re: Swirly thing alert !!

that old chestnut ?? - the power of positive thinking is an illusion - i have tried being positive and bad things have happened - more times than i care to remember

nah what you have to do Mitch is work on " the reverse expertise paradigm " - coupled with the" preparation outcome matrix " thingy whatsit - which will give you the totally opposite result to the one desired

to explain : you want a thunderstorm ?? - the experts say there will be one at location X - now we all know that whenever an expert predicts something the opposite happens - with me so far ??

now throw in some preparation outcome matrix - vis if we prepare for a thunderstorm it wont happen - and bingo no thunderstorm

so what you have to do to counter these effects is - "a" never listen to experts - and 'b" say it is going to be a super day and go out for a picnic

guaranteed thunderstorm

Brett - off out for a day on the beach tomorrow .
