Are we heading directly into an Ice Age?

Is global warming just a complete mistake or a big misunderstanding? We seem to have more evidence showing that we are going to head for an ice age than we do showing that global warming is on the increase.

Last year global temperatures dropped by 0.595*c... thats nearly enough to whipe out global warming for the past 40 years.
And as far as i know, temperatures are still dropping dramatically.

This is a graph of global temperatures starting at 1988.

ImageShack - Hosting :: 7390largehadcrutgm7.jpg

Every 11,500 years, there has been an ice age. Scientists went as far back as 250,000 years ago and found out that every 11,500 years, there was a sharp fall in temperatures which then lead to an ice age. However the last major ice age we had was 11,500 years ago and some scientist believe that the cycle for this event is happening right now.

So i guess some of you think 'who cares? dont ice ages take like a thousand years?'
The answer to that question is No.
Ice ages take around 10-20 years to fully develop. That is why some believe that last years drop of 0.595*c was the start of a new ice age.

But then why all of this moisture? The reason why we are getting all this moisture is because it is part of the ice age's cycle.
Around the world 90% of all glaciers are growing. However, the government don't let out this information, simply because they do not like being in the wrong. The reason why glaciers are growing is because moisture from the sea is being locked up on land as ice. That is why glaciers are growing. They don't tell you about 90% of glaciers growing, but they they show you the 10% of glaciers melting.

A team of scientists have found that although ocean temperatures are rising, sea levels have actually fallen.
Over the past 5 years sea levels have dropped by 2 and a half inches. It doesn't seem like much at all, but the fact is, is that we are going the other direction.
The reason why i think that the temperatures are rising is because of underwater volcanic activity. Now if you think about it, there are over 9,000 active underwater volcanoes. The lava they let out is around 2,500 degrees. And so how does the ocean deal with it?
It doesn't, it just simply heats the ocean up, making it easier to produce moisture to then dump it on land.

What i have told you is just a small amount of information about why we are heading for an ice age. If you want to find out more go onto google. Type ice age now, and then click on the top website you find.

Thank you,
Steve

Hmm, thats put the cat among the pigeons

Very interesting, and thanks for posting. I looked at the website and did a "whois" search on the registrant....it's a by proxy!

So lets just suppose this is a scam site put out by the Oil companies to deflect away from global warming? It would be very effective for the average joe to think...what are we worrying about? (sorry but I am a natural skeptic)

Here

Gaia hypothesis - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

is the counter argument...and one which I am inclined to believe

Re: Are we heading directly into an Ice Age?

I'm not sure whether i am allowed to link the video on this thread. So just delete this post if need so.
The link is Climate Change: Global Cooling?
On the right hand side there is a title in bold blue font. Beneath that there is a camera, click on that. You'll then see what i'm talking about.

I think that the idea of having a little ice age is much more believable than global warming.
Think about it. Back in 1970's was it? People used to laugh about the idea of global warming. I now think that its now an idea of global cooling. Which many will laugh at untill it does happen.

The reason why the webs a proxy is coz the guy cant afford it, simply because he can't just whap out the money from his wallet.

Also. Why was there record amounts of snowfall in new zeland on Aug 20th? There was over 4.5m of snow in places.

All seems to real to me...

Re: Are we heading directly into an Ice Age?

Hmmmm. Sea levels are falling in the Pacific Ocean,
sea levels are falling in the Indian Ocean, sea levels are
falling in the Atlantic Ocean, and sea levels are falling
in the Arctic Ocean.
I somehow get the feeling that we’re not getting the full
story here.

Sunspots are no longer as common as they were last year.

The El Nino has streghened.
Magnetic reversal is due.

The met office have already predicted that we are going to have a cold winter with alot of precipitation.

Re: Are we heading directly into an Ice Age?

Steve,

help me out here

I watched the video you linked to, and in it Robert Felix states that sea ice is advancing...

But he also states that the oceans are being warmed by sub-oceanic Volcanoes

So since when has warmer water created more sea ice?

Am I missing something here, surely if the oceans are hotter then the polar ice sheets would recede?

Re: Are we heading directly into an Ice Age?

Keep in mind there are glaciers growing away from sea and far inland. Not just at the poles where they are surrounded by oceans.
Glaciers are more powerful than you think.

Wamer oceans produce more moisture to then be dumped on land. As he says in the video it is then 'locked up on land as ice.'
Although in many cases the rain has jus been put in rivers as fresh water, which then reaches the oceans causing the jet stream to slowly weaken.
Once that jet stream cuts off... We have no more radiator arround the UK, making our winters alot colder.

But once that rain turns into snow, you can add a 0 on the end of it. I.e. The 14 inches of rain in Ireland a few days ago, could be 140 inches of snow. This is because ice expands, try it yourself by putting a half filled bottle of water in your freezer.

However, once the jet stream does cut off, it will then allow colder sea temperatures in the nothern atlantic which can then allow ice in greenland and iceland to grow and expand.

On the map we are actually in line with Canada and Russia, both which see extremely harsh winters. So once the jet stream producing the warm current cuts off. We will be looking at similar weather to Canada and Russia.

As he says 'it's a part of the cycle, it's part of a cycle, it's part of a cycle.'

Thanks,
Steve

Re: Are we heading directly into an Ice Age?

lol, nice
i'm sure it'll come to good use... believe me.
Uk's Metoffice now have data from this year showing a drop in global temperatures of 0.1*c.
Its only half way through the year and they've already found a drop of 0.1*C.
Is it me or has this year been alot cooler this year than last year when we saw temperatures of 31*c in London. The highest i've seen this year is 26 to 28*c when watchin the bbc weather.

Also Austria experienced snow showers on the 23rd of August this year, thats the first time they've seen snow in the summer for 53 years!
Alots going on. But none of its being announced.

There 'Will' be an ice age soon.
I promise you.

This is a graph that a team from US took last year.
Bare in mind that they too believe that global warming is happening and think that last year was just a one off.
