Re: Graphics in signatures?

Since I started this, I'd vote in favor of banners. However, I didn't realize it was going to cause this much angst.

Of course, you can choose not to view signatures by using the "options" section of your UserCP

Re: Graphics in signatures?

Just a reminder that the guidline height for signature images is 50 pixels. Please try not to exceed this amount as it causes a lot of scrolling.

If you want to create your own weather banner carrying your data, I can highly recommend IMAGE SALSA weather edition

Re: Graphics in signatures?

I'm curious how you decided on 50 pixels. I've checked several places, including here http://www.designerstoolbox.com/onli...8a4a88443611cb and no one seems to use 50 pixels as a standard.

I'd like to make a pitch for a max of 60 pixels. The forum seems to list 10 messages on a page, which would mean a extra 100 vertical pixels of scrolling, which doesn't seem like a lot to me. On an 800 x 600 display (the lowest resolution I see anyone using on my website), that's a sixth of a screen or so. Maybe a fifth when I allow for the Windows and FireFox toolbars.

Increasing the minimum to 60 would mean that those of us running things like Anole's php weather script with standard banner sizes wouldn't have to create a special banner just for this forum.

Thanks for listening.
