As far as I can recall, Grant was asking me to click on the above link to check if I had Javascript installed. Unless you have pop-ups blocked you should see an animated advert when you click on the link. That's what I see in both IE and FF3.

I am still getting "Error On Page" whether I have pop-ups blocked or not.

Re: Error Message

I also suffer from this annoying message, on every page. Pasting this into Google, it's only Midlands Weather that seems to suffer from the problem. I certainly don't get it on any other internet web page. This suggests that it may be the code for the forums that is causing it?

The way I can get rid of it is to turn off Adblock Plus, however I don't want to do this as it results in full-on advertising for every page I visit on the internet. This FireFox add-in is the most popular download for the browser. I think Midlands Weather pages would be better if they gracefully allowed users with Adblock Plus to avoid this javascript message which is meaningless (it is code that means nothing to the user). Especially as it appears not to be correct (i.e. js is not blocked), rather it's the advert that's blocked. Even so, I see the advert when I click on http://www.midlandsweather.org.uk/ad...supp120x60.swf .

One of the default filters used by Adblock is /ads/* - so a solution might be to use a different name in your folder structure, it currently points to http://www.midlandsweather.org.uk /ads/AC_RunActiveContent_QueryString.js - just an idea, however I suspect it is the called up advertising that is blocked.

Re: Error Message

I suspected the problem was caused by a FF add on, but I never bothered to track down the culprit! Like yourself, I would not consider removing Ad Bloc Plus. I detest those waggling, flashing in-your-face ads when browsing. I just keep IE for use with those sites that don't work out well when using FF. Maybe eventually the problem will get sorted. It is annoying and I often can't be bothered to fire up IE to check out the latest forum postings.

Re: Error Message

I have noticed this annoying problem as well.

It appears whether using Firefox (latest edition), Microsoft IE, or Google Chrome.

I concur with the views of others that a search on google for the offending message suggests that it is only to do with this forum.

I see no way of getting rid of it and would value any further advice

Angry Re: Error Message

Today for the first time, on this PC, I now get the error message when using IE 7, as well as when using Firefox. Still no error when using IE 7 on my laptop. Just wondering if anyone is now getting the "This page requires AC run content..." error msg for the first time?
