For the first time in a long time an article in has left me speechless.

I thought I'd have a look today, to see if there was any more news about the earthquake in China. Among the headlines declaring the possible death toll of 80,000+, information about massive fund raising efforts in Canada and stories on Rotarians pitching in to help; I found this (sad, pathetic) little tale of girls crying because their prom dresses couldn't be shipped and moms angry because they had to stump up...

But you know what it's like on the first day back.

I've been here a few hours and I need to be at home NOW!

Well it seems the forecasters are all debating whether we are on the verge of getting some snow over the next few days in my area and across the country.

I hope that if we do get snow we also get much better preparedness. You know stuff like roads gritted and or cleared and people making sensible decisions about journeys.

If the worst happens and the white stuff dumps please have fun but stay safe everyone!

My phone rang today and the Caller id flashed up 68* ****. Oh, I thought it's my mate bless her so I merrily answered with "Hello Sweetie, how's you?"

I was answered by a very embarrassed sounding bloke practically choking before asking if he was speaking to Ms ?????.

Doh! It turned out to be a contractor wanting to organise a time to call out to fix the lock on my door.

Soooo we now have a blog module on the MWF, should prove very interesting methinks! Who's gonna use it, who will avoid like the proverbial plague.
