Ridgeway Challenge40 Walk.

An annual 40 mile walk, from Overton Hill [4.5 miles W of Marlborough] to Streetly [Thames Valley, 3 trainstops W of Reading] along easy tracks, but under pressure of time.
Fully Organised, with St Johns and Raynet to look after you.
Food and Drink supplied at checkpoints.
Not a ramble. An Endurance Event.
Not so much about walking, which is easy.
Mostly its about Personal Organisation and Planning.
And, whats vitally important, Mental Attitude.
If you are new to this, they will subject you to an attitude development course.
They will train you to be a winner,
which is so refreshing a departure from the rest of ones life.

Bought my coach ticket to Marlborough this afternoon (Thr 08) for tomorrow.

Arrive at front door of Victoria Coach Station: 1415.
Arrive at end of queue to buy tickets: 1417.25.
Leave ticket hall: 1445.

27.75 min to but a ticket. Pathetic!

Standing in a queue without complaint.
Its like Eastern Europe under the Communists.
They have 16 ticket windows.
When I arrived only 3 of these were manned.
While I was waiting one of these closed.
