Lancaster Castle, which, to my understanding, is used as a Crown Court as well as for tours? Well that might explain the vast amount of CCTV cameras and barbed wires lining the turrets!

Today we went on a cruise around Lake Windermere and it's islands. The cruise takes 45 minutes and departs from Bowness-On-Windermere.

Today we drove some distance from the southern Lakes peninsula (where we were staying in a caravan) to Keswick in the northern half of the Lakes.

The journey offered some really good views of the Cumbrian mountain range and also of the various lakes.

These photos were taken at various places along this stretch of road.

To get away from the stress of A Level exams i thought I'd head to one of my favourite places in Kent - the Isle of Thanet. Situated in the northeast corner of Kent, it is home to the three main towns of Margate, Ramsgate and Broadstairs and offers both pebble and sand beaches.
