Will we ever know who was really behind this terrible tradgedy ? :icon_sad:
8 years on, we have "home grown" terrorists plotting to blow up airliners in mid atlantic, including women and children passengers. They are caught and found guilty...and now the taxpayer must pay to keep them in prison for life.:jpshakehe
4 x 9mm rounds would cost us less than £1! :)Posted 11-Sep-2009 at 07:33 by Shardy

August Weather Events Over the Years
Hello, what is the source of the statement that air temperature fell to minus 3 in London on August 24th 1940? I was searching for some more info on this and found a reference to the the lowest temp, in August 1940 in London being 6.8c. There is a mention of minus 3 being recorded in December however.

August Weather Events Over the Years
I was looking at the chart archives for August 1981, and the evolution of high pressure, and a low pressure across France, between the 6th and about the 10th is strikingly similar to what is predicted this year
The main difference is that the 6th August 1981 came on the back of a hot spell, if not a heatwave whereas this year it's just quite warm

Thank you Lancer for picking up the baton and also for the little additions that make it your own, rather than a copy. I'm sure Dave would have been proud to see his contributions continued in this manner.Posted 27-Jul-2009 at 10:24 by Grant
