Re: New Flooding Information

It seems the EA have used the flooding opportunity to update their site and subsequently the URL to the feed we use. I am trying to get this restored ASAP, but in the meantime we have a loss of information to the site.

You mean at the time it's been required the most, they have removed the subscription feed without notice !

As well as changing the look of the site, yes. They did the same thing last time - changed the way warnings were issued when they were most needed. It seems to be a trend

Fingers crossed we can get it back.

Re: New Flooding Information

Just had a response from the EA. It seems that during times of flooding the URL gets switched to a high volume alternate site. In this instance the URL change is affecting all pages, rather than just the main page.

As soon as they redirect back to the low volume version we will get our feed back. Hopefully this will be before the expected heavy rain this weekend.

Errr.... Isn't that a bit pointless ?

This is unacceptable, the feed you want is redirected NOT to a high volume feed, but a HTML general lead-in page.

What is the point of a feed if folds everytime it's needed ?

COMPLAIN

Re: New Flooding Information

Don't you just love Government departments. How on earth do people who haven't got a clue get appointed to run them?
